I am pleased to present to you the revised Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA) web site. I hope this web site will provide you with useful and easily accessible information about programs, funding opportunities, news and events, advocacy, and other issues related to older adults and professionals working in the aging field.
The CPAAA continually looks for more efficient methods to serve the older population in our community. As the elder population grows and changes, so must our services and programs. Our Advisory Councils assist us by reviewing the various programs, improvements in the utilization of services, identifying needs, and increasing efficient use of resources. Most recently a needs assessment was completed to determine the changing needs of the older adults in Sedgwick, Harvey and Butler Counties.
We remain focused on our mission to be the leader in aging services and issues, to provide services, education and advocacy. The Central Plains Area Agency on Aging assists older individuals in Sedgwick, Harvey, and Butler Counties to remain in their homes longer and to improve their quality of life.
This year we have faced budget challenges and subsequently made changes in how we do business. We will continue to remain focused on our mission and our commitment to efficient quality services for older adults in the tri-county area.
