The 2025 Kansas Silver Haired Legislature elections are scheduled to be held in the spring across Kansas. Any Kansan age 60 and over who is a registered voter may file for candidacy. The term of office is two years, and members may be re-elected continuously.

Central Plains Area Agency on Aging is looking for volunteers in Sedgwick, Harvey and Butler Counties to assist with the Senior Health Insurance Counseling of Kansas (SHICK) program. Volunteers with an interest in healthcare and assisting others who are willing to attend an intensive training and assist consumers throughout the year with their Medicare and Medicare Part D questions should inquire. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to learn about Medicare and assist others who may need one-on-one support or assistance with enrolling/updating their Medicare plan(s).
